Dear Families:
We are going to try something new this year, for the first Parent/Teacher meeting we would like to have a picnic style gathering prior to the start of school. This picnic is set for August 27th at 6 PM at the school in the lawn near the playground. We will introduce some new curriculum, share a skit about the up coming year, and spend time getting to know each other.

Please bring food according to your last name:
A- C Noodle or lettuce salad
D-H 2 dozen meat and cheese sandwiches (or chicken or egg salad)
I-L Dessert, one pan per family
M-N Chips, 2 bags or fruit 2lbs
O-S 2 dozen peanut butter and jelly sandwiches
T-Z Beverages – 2 gallons (milk, iced tea, lemonade) with ice

* School will provide plates, forks, napkins, coffee, and cups
** Please let us know if you are not able to attend RSVP at 425-0211

The teachers will be meeting next week to prepare for the school year. If anyone is interested - any help would be appreciated in the following areas:

- locker repair
- general maintenance
- re-organizing classrooms
- unpacking new books
- classroom decoration

The staff will be around Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday from 9 am - 3 pm (roughly). Let us know you are coming and we can get things ready for your help! Just reply back to this email if you are able to help - if you are able to help in the evening - we can arrange for that too!

There will be a soccer and volleyball informational meeting Monday, August 27 at 7:15 (following the parent-teacher meeting). Soccer practice will begin on Tuesday, August 28 with more information to be given at this meeting.
